About a week ago Cameron and I packed our bags and said peace out! I’ve never once left my bigger littles for any amount of time, but the opportunity to head south fell into my lap. My mom flew my sister and I down so that we could visit and help her get somewhat settled in her new home in Sunny Scottsdale AZ! we stayed from Monday to Friday.
Cameron was the real MVP and was a champ on the airplane. About 2 minutes of fussing during take off before I could get him latched on for nursing, but otherwise Homeboy slept through entire flight there… and back!
Once we landed we immediately grabbed some food and got settled into the nearest Target. HA! Us girls can’t help but spend far too much time at Target. Ok, but seriously. We had the best week with just us girls (and Cam, lucky dude!) and we got so much done! Hopefully my momma is relieved and thankful!
We went hiking, we cleaned and organized and moved our bodies like there was no tomorrow. One day I put in almost 30k steps, burned roughly 2900 calories and did 10+ miles (Thank you Fitbit!). I told some friends that every mama raising toddlers needs a break like this. It was glorious. Even though I did miss my kiddos and my husband, a lot!
Thursday, before we had to start packing our bags, we went to the Spa (The Talking Stick Resort) where my mom works and had some pampering. I had a lovely facial and could have stayed there for days.
And Boom. Just like that, time flew by and Cameron and I were reunited with the crew. So thankful, and hopeful that I’ll get to do it again someday!
